Mr Carlson's Lab has been referred to as the Bob Ross of electronics!

Do you find watching Bob Ross calmly explaining how to paint happy little trees uplifting? If so then you're going to love Mr Carlson's Lab on YouTube and Patreon.

Paul Carlson is an all round talented engineer, with a gift for clearly explaining concepts and practical concerns. His calm voice keeps you enthralled as he chases down obscure problems in obscure radios and test equipment.

The two hour plus videos of the restoration of, mainly, valve gear, are addictive. Not to mention informative. I've never had anything to do with valve technology, but it now won't be long until I find a radio to restore, thanks to Paul's enthusiasm.

I think my favourites are his three part, six month restoration of a 1939 "Supreme Vedolyzer" (no, me neither).

If you join his Patreon feed then you get access to some of his designs for rather interesting test gear.

All in all, highly recommended.
