Installation of GUI and quick check of Serial device.

I use Linux Mint 20. The GUI software is written for Windows, but installs fine using Wine.

To enable the software to see my USB to serial device I followed the instructions here to map COM1 to /dev/ttyUSB0.

The GUI checks worked fine.
